Many long panels were embroidered and sewn together to form the tent, within which the newlyweds would pass their first night. Stunning work and arrestingly bright coloured silks, hard to imagine is 300 years old. Embroidery is in excellent condition but numerous holes to the fine cotton ground, some of the larger ones patched with other embroidery or with small pieces of cotton. a great example of a rare textile. 2'2" x 6'10"/ 65 x 208cm
