The slit for the saddle pommel or gullet has its own border reasurring that the piece was woven deliberately for use on a saddle. The selvedge has been added later to preserve the sides. The green below the saddle slit is exquisite in two shades, the lower portion being more vibrant. It has a fine weave typical of Feraghan pile weavings. 80 x 89 cm.
